Mina Nowewinan (Good Sounds)

November 26th 2026  |  The Carlu ( 444 Yonge St, Toronto, ON)

The International Indigenous Music Summit (IIMS) is thrilled to announce Mina Nowewinan (Good Sounds), a breathtaking celebration of artistic brilliance and leadership in the Indigenous music community. Hosted at Toronto’s historic arts and events venue, The Carlu, this event will feature a star-studded lineup of Indigenous talent from across Northern Turtle Island, including two-time JUNO award winner, William Prince; award-winning Inuk singer-songwriter, Elisapie; rising mythic pop star, Siibii; JUNO-nominated Métis fiddle phenom, Brianna Lizotte; and renowned JUNO-award-winning Anishinaabe drum group, Bear Creek.

We are honouring the past seven years of good sounds: niizhaaswi nsabi-boon minik mina nowewinan. In celebration of the great turning and changing of the seasons, Mina Nowewinan marks the culmination of IIMS’s first seven-year cycle. Join us at this special, first-of-its-kind celebration, where we will lift up some of the brightest voices in Indigenous music and share some exciting surprises — including the announcement of the IIMS 2027 full program.
