Alex Kusturok has emerged as a formidable force in the world of traditional and contemporary fiddle music. Immersed in the rich Métis fiddle culture since childhood, Alex’s journey in music began in the lively old-time dances of Manitoba. By age 7, his deep-seated passion for music was unmistakable, a passion that has since evolved into a flourishing career as both a performer and an educator.

Winner of the 2021 Félix Award for Indigenous Artist of the Year, Anachnid is an Oji-Cree multidisciplinary artist based in Montreal. Her spirit animal, the spider, has eight legs, and she embodies many complex personalities on stage and in life: venomous spirit, young woman in love, caring grandmother... Her music is a hybrid and sensual style of electro-pop, indie, with a touch of grunge. On stage, she delivers an immersive experience with a quiet strength and communicates her sensitivity, bringing us into her intimate and symbolic universe.

La Tribu is a band from the Dule Nation of Gunayala in Panama, With music that fuses indigenous instruments with the universal language of rock. It is a musical proposal based on ethno-fusion, using different indigenous ways with the objective of transmitting ancestral knowledge to its public, On stage they use tribal dances, native instruments, Dulegayan language and social consciousness messages where the ambience is filled with good energy that vibrates and captures the public from the first moment.

Anthony Pasqua aka Big Tones is an Indigenous Recording Artist born in Surrey, BC. He grew up in Regina, SK and has heavy ancestral ties to Treaty 4 Territory coming from Pasqua First Nation #79. Breaking the cycle of intergenerational trauma, Big Tones uses music as an outlet, finding therapeutic release in storytelling through songwriting. Big Tones is a versatile artist, captivating performer and artist mentor. With a focus on old school hip hop sound, his powerful and soothing voice with intricate flows keeps listeners intrigued lyric after lyric.

With a voice that balances tenderness and power, award-winning Naarm-based artist Bumpy is a magnetic force in Australian music. Her sound is a shimmering mosaic—contemporary soul laced with folk, funk, and jazz—turning raw emotion into something universally resonant. She captivates with her hypnotic stage presence and evocative voice, each note unraveling a raw and unfiltered story that lingers long after the music fades. Bumpy has wowed audiences at the London Jazz Festival, Sydney Opera House, Meredith Music Festival, WOMADelaide, and more.

Carmen Lienqueo possesses a magnetic voice, with deep and straightforward lyrical work capable of transporting all listeners to the diverse landscapes of Latin America. She spent 20 years performing in folk-rooted groups, a natural response to her exploration of rhythmic patterns inherent to her roots, drawing from popular poetry and the singing traditions of South America. She traveled extensively across the continent with various projects, with the Chilean-Colombian band Makina Kandela being her primary school for 11 years. Her current exploration as a soloist and singer-songwriter is under her maternal name, presenting a repertoire with lyrics imbued with intimacy that reflects a very personal perspective, echoing the everyday reality of society in which she lives and her experiences as an artist.

Chuskupura is a contemporary Andean 4-piece band formed in 2019. It is made up of young musicians of the Kichwa Otavalo and Kichwa Puruwa Nations that seek to emulate the traditional sound of various Kichwa Nations of Ecuador while innovating through original compositions with modern form and harmony.

Diyet van Lieshout is a songwriter and singer from the high Kluane mountains of the Yukon Territory, Canada. She is a songwriter with over 20 years of experience and has been singing professionally for 25 years. Diyet’s songs have been published in Asia, Europe and North America, but mainly, she writes music that she performs as Diyet and Diyet & the Love Soldiers. Diyet’s lyric and melodies are rooted in her lived experience, especially to the land and community where she was born and raised, the traditional territory of the Kluane First Nation.

Eadsé, meaning "My good friend" in Huron-Wendat, is a Wendat singer-songwriter based in Montreal. Eadsé explores the sounds of pop with soulful tones. Inheriting the legacy of her ancestors, it was her grandfather, from the Wolf Clan and the Raven family, who guided her towards music. Since then, she has created, with strength and tenderness, works that are both touching and powerful.

Edzi’u is an innovative musician, songwriter and sound artist born and raised under the northern lights but now calls Vancouver, B.C. home. Her first stage was in a vehicle singing from her hometown, Whitehorse, Yukon, down the highway to her aunties’ houses in Dease Lake, a small town within her traditional Tahltan territory. Edzi’u creates with those aunties in mind and pays homage to their big coiffed hair, leather jackets, and fierceness with reverb soaked drums, 80’s synths and arpeggiated baselines.

Electric Religious got his moniker from a Jimi Hendrix quote: “When I get up on stage, that’s my whole life. That’s my religion... I am electric religion.” His new album, The Taste, straddles pop, rock, and funk – a genre playfully coined as “Métis Disco.” Métis of Red River descent, Electric Religious is now based in Edmonton on Treaty 6. Brought up playing traditional fiddle music at dances along with his brother, he soon developed his own brand of psychedelic, guitar-driven music, which critics have described as, “bursting with inspiration, insight, and hope.” His hunger to explore other dance genres led him to experiment with the sounds of disco. Electric Religious has been included twice in the CBC Searchlight Top 100 in recent years, and twice among CKUA’s Top 100 Albums of the year. He has also been honoured with a nomination for Métis Artist of the Year at the Summer Solstice Indigenous Music Awards.

G̱a̱mksimoon, translating to ‘waterspout’ in Sm’algya̱x, is a rock and roll project created by Wil Uks Batsga G̱a̱laaw (Jeremy Pahl) of the Gitga'at First Nation. Inspired by the powerful and transformative nature of the waterspout, G̱a̱mksimoon’s sound is rooted in pre-contact Ts’msyen rhythms and melodies. By performing entirely in Sm’algya̱x, the project revitalizes the language while crafting music that flows with the force and unpredictability of the natural phenomenon it’s named after.

Goldsmith Baynes is an exciting collaboration between Allana Goldsmith, a soulful contemporary vocalist with a beautiful mix of Māori and English languages, and Mark Baynes, a renowned British pianist with jazz stylings. Together, they have created a remarkable body of work with their debut album 'E Rere Rā', featuring original songs that carry the essence of Māori culture, reflecting the ancestral folk wisdom and storytelling traditions that have been passed down through generations. Goldsmith Baynes' music has been praised worldwide, with reviewers describing it as delicious, soulful, sensual, wise, and easily accessible. Their music has been featured on various radio stations internationally, including BBC Radio, Jazz FM (UK), CBC (Canada), and Radio New Zealand, among others.

A proud member of the Misipawistik Cree Nation, Jade was raised in Northern Manitoba, with an upbringing rooted in the art of storytelling. Her lyrics tell personal tales that range from serious topics to satirical ones, delivered with dynamic vocals that span from gritty and raw to spirited and energetic. Despite a career that seemed nearly impossible due to the absence of Indigenous female representation in mainstream music, Jade credits blues artist Crystal Shawanda as one of her major inspirations, later teaming up to write "Deadweight," which was released in 2023 and received two awards for Song of the Year and Single of the Year at the Manitoba Country Music Awards that same year. In 2024, Jade became a semi-finalist in the 2024 Top of the Country with Sirius XM competition and recently received the Manitoba Music Kevin Walters Songwriter Award and the SOCAN Vince Fontaine Indigenous Song Award, along with four Manitoba Country Music Award nominations, bringing her total count to 27. Jade has just released her newest album "Breathe".

Jessa Sky, a Cree Artist from Treaty 8 Territory blends her Indigenous roots into soulful melodies. Her singles, like "On My Own", and "Surrender," hit Top 100 in the CBC Toyota Searchlight as well as receiving CBC's 2024 Searchlight "Honorary Indigenous Artist" for her single "Anxiety". Her track "Forever" with MattMac is skyrocketing with almost half a million views solidifying her presence in the music industry. Championing mental health & addiction awareness, she hopes to help others feel less alone. Jessa's debut album 'Sky's The Limit' released March 2024 and her EP "Look At Me Now" is out now! Johnathan Morin is a 33 year old indigenous (Nehiyaw) tap dancer hailing from Treaty 6 Edmonton, Alberta. Now residing in Treaty 13 Toronto Ontario he is a force in the tap dance community and known across the country and around the world. A Dora Award Nominee, Johnathan co-produces and co directs Rhythm and Sound Dance Company alongside Cori Giannotta and also runs his own drop in classes in Toronto. His passion for the dance has brought him across the country as well as internationally as a performer and educator. His most recent project is a documentary called Restorative Culture Produced by Tap Love Tour and Travis Knights. The documentary highlights the impacts of the foster care system and colonization and following my reconnection journey as a Nehiyaw (cree) man. The documentary has been presented at the 2024 Toronto International Tap Festival as well as in Barcelona Spain as a part of the Luthier Tap Festival. Some of his other accolades include TD Toronto Jazz Festival, Sarah Reich's Tap Music Project, Vancouver International Tap Festival, and the Toronto International Tap Festival. With his talent, dedication, and impressive list of accomplishments, Johnathan Morin is sure to continue making rhythmic waves in the world of Canadian tap dance for years to come.

Juurini is the Inuit name for singer-songwriter Joey Partridge. Originally from Kuujjuaq, Juurini sings in his native language the memories of the north, the smells and sounds that woke him up in the morning in an ambient folk using his guitar and traditional instruments. Juurini is an awards nominated artist touring the North constantly, singing and lifting the spirits for his people making this world a better place. He is a family man. His greatest dream is to see his Inuit people succeed and overcome the various obstacles they face in the face of modernity. Joey lives to be that change by guiding his pairs through his past experiences.

KaKaow, from Kingston, Ontario, is a psychedelic and funk infused multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer, performer and creator. Receiving the Creators Award at the 2021 Kingston Mayor’s Arts Awards, KaKaow has established himself as a leader within the local music community, striving to connect, promote and most of all create. Kee’ahn (she/they/nyulu) is a proud Kuku Yalanji, Jirrbal, Badhulayg bama whose name means to dance and to play in the language of the Wik Mungkan people. Venturing from Far North Queensland to Naarm/Melbourne in 2019, Kee’ahn has quickly made a significant impact in the music scene and across so-called Australia. From supporting local and international artists including Angie McMahon (Making It Through Tour) in Aotearoa, Greentea Peng, Hiatus Kaiyote, Julia Jacklin, Alice Skye, Coloured Stone and Birdz, Kee’ahn is making tracks! Matthieu Bohemier, better known by his stage name Matty Galaxy, is a Métis music producer hailing from the beautiful province of Nova Scotia, Canada. Matty has always been fascinated by the intricate details of sound and music, and he has always enjoyed experimenting with different genres and techniques to create unique and captivating soundscapes. He has a keen ear for melody, rhythm, and harmony, and he is constantly striving to push the boundaries of what is possible with music production. Over the years, Matty has worked with a variety of high-profile clients, including FOX, Adult Swim, Google, Jeremih, the NBA, and the NHL, among others.

Mitchell Makoons (he/him) is a Roots/Rock musician from Brandon, Manitoba, who currently resides in Winnipeg. At the age of seven, Mitchell began playing the guitar to accompany his grandfather and brother as they played Metis fiddle tunes. Makoons continues to be an active member of the Manitoba Metis community and writes songs that combine traditional Ojibway music and culture with modern influences. Makoons has toured several times across Western Canada and has begun to break into the Canadian festival scene. In 2024, he performed at Dauphin’s Countryfest, Harvest Sun Music Festival, Gentlefest, and Winnipeg Fringe Festival, to name a few.

A contemporary Indigenous alternative fusion woven together with elements of hip/trip-hop, rock/folk, righteous rhymes and rich harmonies, carried through with experience, manifestation, and visions of intergenerational stories of pain and healing. Nancy Bates is a First Nations composer, curator, educator, and proudly Barkindji. With cultural ties to communities running the length of the Baarka (Darling River), she is freshwater woman living a multifaceted life, intertwining music, education, and advocacy to resist the colonial continuum. Recognising her exceptional contributions to the music industry, Nancy Bates has been honoured as an Ambassador for the Australasian Performing Rights Association (APRA). In 2022, Bates was awarded the Best Music Award Adelaide Fringe Festival, and in 2023 received the Adelaide Festival Centre's Critic's Choice Award and a Star on the Walk of Fame.

Born and raised in Northwestern Ontario and a member of Long Lake #58 First Nation, Natasha Fisher is a vocalist, songwriter, and producer who crafts songs that take influence from both traditional pop and alternative genres carried out by edgy melodies and heartfelt storytelling. Her songs capture the intensity of heartbreak, healing, and self-discovery, while incorporating Indigenous elements that add depth and authenticity. Natasha’s music carries a raw, emotional energy that's both nostalgic and fresh, inviting listeners into a journey of independence, recovery, and resilience. Since 2019, Natasha has been travelling across Ontario leading healing through music workshops and speaking on issues related to addictions and mental health.

‌Pascal Ottawa, known as Pako, is a singer-songwriter from the Atikamekw community of Manawan. On a solid and masterful folk-rock music, Pako interprets the texts he writes in his native language, Atikamekw. He addresses strong topics such as the importance of language, the values and history of his community, identity, environment, human relationships and the hope for a better life. Pako has participated in many prestigious shows and festivals in Quebec, Switzerland and Australia. A talented guitarist, he also collaborates with many artists such as Maten, Shauit, Ninan, Claude McKenzie, Florent Vollant and Scott-Pien Picard. Nanto, his second record produced by Makusham Musique, was released on March 31, 2023.

Rako Pasefika is an indigenous Oceanic collective dedicated to ensuring continued cultural practices through Pacific performative storytelling. The collective emphasizes the importance of our heritage and cultural practices as essential elements of resilience, cultural revival, and empowerment. It focuses on the diverse cultural traditions of Indigenous Pacific communities, including those from Tonga, Rotuma, Niue, Samoa, and Fiji. Rako Pasefika blends sounds from Oceania, mixing ocean calls with traditional instruments and Pacific voices that share ancestral stories of land and sea. Rako Pasefika has performed throughout the Pacific and at prestigious venues such as the Sydney Opera House, the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, the historic DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC, and GOMA in Brisbane. The collective has also been featured at major international festivals, including the Woodford International Folk Festival and BluesFest.

A member of the Order of Canada, Polaris Music Prize and JUNO Award winner and recipient of multiple honorary doctorates, Tagaq is an original disruptor, a world-changing figure at the forefront of seismic social, political and environmental change.

Te KuraHuia is a 2 spirit neurodiverse Māori-Pasifika academic and multidisciplinary artist already awarded for their many skills & talents in the performing arts industry. They are in their final year of their Bachelors in Performing Arts (Acting) at Toi Whakaari National Drama School of New Zealand after studying Music, Creativity, Design & Art and Māori Performing Arts.

YARINA was founded in 1984 by parents José Manuel Cachimuel and Rosa Elena Amaguaña who were motivated by the need to amplify the voices of the indigenous people of Ecuador. The three eldest siblings - Roberto, Manuel, and Rimay (ages 10, 12, and 15 at the time) - were each given a musical role to play in the ensemble. The family knew that, through music, they would be able reach a wider audience and open a vital dialogue regarding human rights and representation. Today, at eleven siblings strong, the group still leads the way in the world of Ecuadorian music, and Yarina is a household name. Officially named indigenous cultural ambassadors of Ecuador in 2002, they still follow their original mission statement with passion and commitment while the next generation of Cachimuel children are now taking up roles in the ensemble.
